On December 29, 2023 at 2:45 am, an ambitious project was announced for Paris!

Hungry for sports, he grew up listening to the sound of Formula 1 engines and the exploits of Ronaldinho. Today, with a Master’s degree in sports journalism, he never misses a Formula 1 Grand Prix or a match of PSG, his two passions and specialties.

When PSG was acquired by Qatar in 2011, the project seemed quite clear as several stars were recruited to take the club to a new level. However, the club has shifted its strategy in recent months by focusing on young players to prepare for the future and create a stronger collective. This represents a revolution compared to the early days of the QSI project.

Last summer, PSG decided to shift its transfer strategy. After focusing on recruiting big stars to develop the PSG brand, the club now wants to prioritize the collective, as was the case last summer and will be the case this winter with Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo. Dominique Séverac discusses this change in direction.

“At PSG, we have changed our recruitment strategy,” he explains. “For several years, our transfer policy was based on signing stars like Ibrahimovic, Neymar, and Messi. Now, it’s time for the young players.”

He adds, “PSG is the 4th youngest team in the Champions League. There is now only one star. Around that, we are trying to create a collective. We need to accept this new policy.”
