Aurélien Giraud Dominates in Paris by Winning the Street League

Charlotte Hym’s First Street League Experience

The 31-year-old Parisian learned on Saturday morning that she would be participating in the iconic competition, following a last-minute withdrawal. While she did not make it to the final, which was won by Australian Chloe Covell, the four-time French champion enjoyed the Parisian atmosphere. As the only French skateboarder present in Paris, she had the chance to check out the park on Friday but only skated on Saturday, just a few hours before the start of the SLS.

“It was an experience, I did my best,” Hym said with a smile. “Even though I could have used more practice, the most important thing was to have fun, enjoy, and be there with the audience. It was really cool and a good practice for what’s to come.” That includes the World Cup in Dubai, which is crucial for Olympic qualification.
