Erzgebirge Aue takes revenge in derby against FSV Zwickau with a 2-0 win on Tuesday evening in front of 8771 spectators. The match began with a pyro show by FSV fans, who fired rockets towards the field causing a three-minute interruption by the referee Florian Heft.

Initially, Zwickau had the advantage and created more dangerous moments. However, Aue’s goalkeeper Martin Männel saved a shot from FSV striker Noel Eichinger. The guests failed to score except for a goal from Dimitrij Nazarov, which was easily defused by Johannes Brinkies. Männel prevented Zwickau from taking the lead again shortly before the break, making a save with his left leg against Patrick Göbel.

After an hour, Aue took the lead with a goal from Nazarov. FSV defender Jan Löhmannsröben played a bad pass directly into the center, and Omar Sijaric picked up speed, finding Nazarov who scored to the near corner from the inside right. Davy Frick and Johan Gómez missed the equalizer twice for FSV, and in injury time, Aue’s joker hit Boris Tashchy to make it 2-0.

Zwickau remained in the relegation zone after their 15th defeat of the season, while Aue moved further into the middle of the table after their seventh win of the calendar year.
