Fiery Reception for Messi as PSG Fans Lash Out: Shocking Claims Against World Champions

PSG fans boo Messi mercilessly! Violent allegations against world champions

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fans are unhappy with superstar Lionel Messi after the team’s recent loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16. Fans had already planned to boo Messi during PSG’s match against Rennes. Members of the Collectif Ultras Paris group called out Messi’s high salary in relation to his pitch performance as the main reason for their disapproval.

Even before the stadium announcer called his name during lineup announcements, whistles rang throughout the Prinzenpark stadium. Former professional Christophe Dugarry, who was a part of France’s 1998 World Cup-winning team, also expressed his disappointment in Messi on Radio Monte Carlo.

Dugarry questioned Messi’s commitment to PSG and asked if he was only there for marketability, kits, and not for performing his best. This sentiment is a recurring theme among PSG fans who accuse Messi of not identifying with the club.

According to Radio Monte Carlo, Messi even refused to do an exercise during Thursday’s practice, which involved working on defense. The striker reportedly left the pitch during the exercise.

After PSG’s loss to Rennes, Messi was also booed by fans as he left without acknowledging them.

Although the sheik owners of PSG had reportedly planned to extend Messi’s contract in the summer, fans’ disapproval suggests that they might not be unhappy if he left Paris. In any case, it remains to be seen whether he will continue to play for PSG.
