The FSV team had previously wrestled with defeats against Aue and BVB-Bubis, losing 2-0 and 4-0, respectively. However, goalkeeper Johannes Brinkies held the one point for Zwickau against Ingolstadt, winning handily in duels with Pascal Testroet (26th/63rd), Marcel Costly (54th) and Justin Butler (64th).

Despite several opportunities from Ingolstadt team members such as Butler (40th/70th), Testroet (52nd/60th), Tobias Bech (52nd) and Costly (63rd), the FSV team was able to prevent any goals from being conceded. This marked the first game without letting in any goals for coach Ronny Thielemann’s team, after previously conceding 13 goals in just five games.

In the end, efficiency proved crucial as Ziegele scored in the penalty area just before the final whistle, securing the team’s victory.
