Esther Sedlaczek to Star in New ARD Show After Shining at the World Cup Alongside Schweini

At the World Cup she shone next to Schweini: New ARD show for Esther Sedlaczek

Esther Sedlaczek to be the new moderator of “Ask the Mouse”

After 13 years as the moderator of “Ask the Mouse”, Eckart von Hirschhausen is stepping down from his role. The new moderator to take over the show is Esther Sedlaczek, who is already a familiar face to many viewers as the moderator of “ARD Sportschau”, “Blickpunkt Sport” on Bavarian Radio, and “Quizduell”.

In an ARD message about the mouse, Sedlaczek shared her fond memories of the show, stating that it has been with her for as long as she can remember. Sedlaczek even admitted to being a little bit in love with the lovable blue elephant.

Sedlaczek’s first assignment with “der Maus” is on May 20th, as announced by WDR. The “Ask the Mouse” show has been running since 2006, and Sedlaczek will be taking over from von Hirschhausen as the new moderator.

The “Show with the Mouse”

“The Show with the Mouse” has been a staple on German television since 1971, airing every Sunday morning. The program features a mix of laughter stories, factual stories, and “mouse spots” that act as a transition between the stories. The opening credits are first shown in German and then in a foreign language.

With her wealth of hosting experience and love for the show, Sedlaczek seems like the perfect fit to guide viewers through the program’s entertaining and informative content.

Eckart von Hirschhausen’s new show

Although von Hirschhausen is stepping down from “Ask the Mouse”, he is not leaving television entirely. His new Saturday night show called What Can Man Do? will premiere on May 6th.

Meanwhile, Sedlaczek is busy preparing for her new role on “Ask the Mouse”. Viewers can look forward to her taking the show’s beloved and educational content to new heights. Who knows what exciting episodes and animal adventures await us in the future!
