The biggest loser is a popular show on Sat.1, where the participants fight for victory to lose the most weight. However, in episode seven, one participant, Salvo, had a different plan in mind. In the challenge, each team of two had to file down as much of a block of wood as possible, with the winners being protected from being thrown out at the end of the week. Salvo and his partner, Thorsten, had a different strategy in mind.
Salvo was filing far too slowly, and as the sun went down, he attempted to cheat his way to the top. Ása, another participant, noticed their suspicious activity and reported it to the others. Salvo and Thorsten used a knife to hit the block of wood, which was an outright fraud.
All the participants were shocked, and emotions ran high. Salvo apologized for breaking the rules, but the trust was lost amongst the team members. In the final weighing of the participants, Christine Theiss, the camp manager, disclosed the attempted fraud and expressed her disappointment.
However, Salvo and Thorsten were able to shine at the weigh-in, having lost an incredible 11 kilos together. The winners of the wooden block match were Daniel and Leon, who were one lap further.
Manuela and Sandra had to say goodbye to the show, having lost the least weight. Theiss kept a back door open for them and offered them a chance to return to the camp in week ten if they continue to work hard.
In the end, the motto, “fight for victory,” prevailed, and the participants continued to strive towards achieving their goals. However, the attempt at cheating ruined the trust and disappointed the camp manager and the participants.
