Jungle camper Jolina Mennen and her husband, Florian, have announced their separation, which has come as a shock to many who thought their love was unshakable. The couple met twelve years ago in a breakfast café, and Jolina married Florian twice – first as a man in 2013 and then as a woman in 2019 after undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
When Jolina participated in the jungle camp in Australia in January, she spoke about how supportive Florian had been during her transition. However, the couple has now decided to split up. Jolina announced the news on Instagram, posting a wedding photo of them both in which she thanked him for all the beautiful moments they had shared together.
Jolina clarified that there is “no bad blood” between them, and that they still have a strong friendship. While the future is uncertain, Jolina maintained that they will manage it together. Neither Jolina nor Florian has commented on the reasons behind their split.
Jolina emphasized that this separation does not feel like a failure, and that she is grateful to have had such a wonderful person like Florian in her life. She concluded by saying that they will not lose their laughter despite their separation.
