Finally free! After being stuck for three months in the underground subway of Paris, the crow has been released on Friday, February 9, 2024, according to a member of Corneilles Paris on social media.

The animal released after its capture
“Corneilles Paris is pleased to confirm that the crow from the subway, who had been stationed at Menilmontant for a long time, was captured at the Saint-Maur station by Frédéric Jiguet in collaboration with the RATP,” she writes on X.

After its capture, the animal was marked and released near the Père Lachaise cemetery in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.

As revealed by Actu Paris on December 23, the crow had been stuck for several weeks at the Menilmontant station. The RATP and the LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) had carried out several operations to get the animal out of this uncomfortable situation, without success until this Friday.

Regularly, volunteers came to bring food and water to the bird to ensure its good health.
