Last Monday, PSG officially announced its first winter market reinforcement in the person of Lucas Beraldo. The young Brazilian defender, who arrived from São Paulo for €20M, made his first appearance on Wednesday night against Toulouse in the Champions Trophy. And Luis Enrique has nothing but praise for him.

Interviewed on Prime Video after the game, Luis Enrique praised Beraldo’s qualities and seems delighted with his signing for PSG: “He has personality, and qualities with and without the ball. He’s a great player. I’ve seen him in action twice in training and we also have very good reports about him, so it was time to see if he was able to start with us. He handled his debut very well,” said the Spanish coach. “He’s quickly integrated”
In the mixed zone after the match, Ousmane Dembélé also commented on the profile of PSG’s new recruit: “Good! He quickly integrated into the team thanks to the many Portuguese and Brazilian players like Marqui. He started well and is gradually integrating.” It remains to be seen whether Lucas Beraldo will play in the next PSG match, Sunday in the French Cup against the amateur team from Revel.
