Melissa Galindo Shares Her Kalimba Experience and Encourages Others to Do the Same

Mexico City – In a recent interview with the Venga la Alegría program, singer Melissa Galindo spoke out about the legal action taken against her by Kalimba after she accused him of sexual assault. Galindo explained that her intention was to raise awareness and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future and that she did not expect to be sued by Kalimba for defamation.

Galindo also stated that she does not want to revictimize herself by discussing the details of the legal proceedings and that she may share information about the case through a statement in the future. She emphasized that doing the right thing brings inner peace and that playing the victim or re-victimizing herself is not something she wants to do.

On March 15, Galindo made her accusation against Kalimba on social media, claiming that he had harassed and touched her inappropriately three years ago. Kalimba responded with a lawsuit for moral damages, stating that he had been slandered by the singer.

Galindo explained that she did not speak out at the time of the alleged incident because she was advised not to by close friends and media professionals who indicated that it could harm her career.
