HSV’s Dangerous Rise Without Coach Walter in Match Against Kiel

HSV without coach Walter against Kiel: rise in danger

HSV Continues Unbelievable Series of Not Winning Home Games Against Holstein Kiel

The Volksparkstadion witnessed yet another momentous match between HSV and Holstein Kiel, who have remained unbeaten at the venue for over 60 years. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, leaving the HSV fans restless.

Despite having a dominant possession of the ball, HSV struggled to find the back of the net with 22 shots on goal and 17 corners. Coach Tim Walter expressed disappointment, stating that his team’s performance did not warrant a win, and they were too jumpy in important situations.

Before the match, fans saw a lively Walter singing along to fan songs from the VIP balcony, despite being suspended from the game having been red-carded in Karlsruhe earlier. Come kickoff, he chose to move to an empty police office in the main stand as an alternative seat.

Walter revealed that he was more comfortable being closer to the action, rather than being far from it. He admitted that being in the stands made him more anxious, as he could not help feeling tense and helpless, especially when chances were missed.

For two games in a row, HSV has failed to secure a win, putting them in the danger zone. The international break sees them travelling to Düsseldorf for their next match. Despite the team’s woes, Fiete Arp, a former HSV player now playing for Holstein Kiel, remains optimistic that the club will turn things around this year.
