Heidi Klum’s top models experienced a wild ride on the set of Germany’s Next Top Model (GNTM) in Los Angeles as they were hit by low temperatures, storm gusts and a power failure. The situation was so dire that Heidi had to evacuate the set due to safety reasons. Even a photo shoot featuring Klum herself was not spared from the inclement weather, but the real jubilation came during the coaching when supermodel Elsa Hosk made an appearance as a guest judge. Later, during the performance on Venice Beach, things went from bad to worse, as strong winds blew away some of the equipment and caused a sudden blackout.
The GNTM girls panicked and had to follow Heidi’s orders to evacuate in bathrobes through rain and storm. Although some of the candidates were terrified, they all made it to the parked vehicles safely. Heidi made a decision to prioritize the safety of her models and broke off the walk, delivering the bad news to her models in the car. Despite the setback, none of the candidates left GNTM.
The wild weather in LA reminds us that it’s not always sunshine and sandy beaches in Hollywood. While it may have been a tough experience for Heidi’s top model candidates, it was also a reminder that they must always put safety first.
