State Cup Decides Teams’ Fate in Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, and Thuringia

At the weekend, the next decisions will be made in the state cups as to which teams will advance to the next round. Germania Halberstadt has been ruled to play in the FSA Cup despite many failures, in Thuringia the finalists are already being determined and in Saxony the outsiders are flirting with surprises.
Saxony-Anhalt FSA Cup Update
The quarter-final encounter between the state league team Union Schönebeck and Germania Halberstadt will take place as planned on Sunday from 2 p.m. in Schönebeck. The team’s ability to play is guaranteed by the players in the reserve team and the U19 teams on Sunday.
As Halberstadt coach Manuel Rost said, “We don’t complain” and “accept and accept the decision as it is”.

On Saturday (March 25th), the quarter-final duel between SV Lipsia 93 Eutritzsch and FC Oberlausitz Neugersdorf will kick off at 2 p.m. in the Thaerstraße sports complex in Leipzig. Will the green-whites manage the next big surprise?

The other cup match in Saxony takes place at 2 p.m. at FC Grimma, who host 1. FC Lok Leipzig. The team of FCL trainer Almedin Civa is the clear favorites in the race.
Thuringia Cup Update
Almost like an anticipated final, regional league representatives FC Carl Zeiss Jena and ZFC Meuselwitz will meet in the Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld from 2 p.m. In the other preliminary round game, Thuringia’s SC Heiligenstadt and Oberliga’s Wacker Nordhausen will face each other from 2 p.m.
Getting ahead would be terrific and would mean the second final participation in the history of the Heiligenstadt team. In 2011, Eichsfelder reached the final and lost to ZFC Meuselwitz on penalties.
