ZDF Series Casts New Actress for Leading Role via Betty’s Diagnosis

"Betty's Diagnosis": New leading actress for ZDF series

Fans of the hit German series “Betty’s Diagnosis” may be surprised to learn that after six years on the show, Annina Hellenthal, also known as Nurse Bettina Weiss, has decided to leave the series. However, viewers need not worry as a new “Betty” is ready to take over the reins.

Henrike Hahn, a 36-year-old actress, will be taking over as station nurse Elisabeth “Betty” Hertz. This will make her the third “Betty” in the Karlsklinik in Aachen. Hahn’s character will be taking over as station manager, bringing a breath of fresh air to the ward.

Hahn even left her home in Berlin for her new leading role, moving to Cologne for filming. When asked if she could handle seeing blood on the show, Hahn jokingly said, “Fortunately, I’m pretty pain-free in this regard.” But on a more serious note, she also emphasized the importance of breast cancer prevention and regularly visiting her gynecologist for checkups.

With more than three million regular viewers, “Betty’s Diagnosis” has become a fan favorite since its premiere in 2015. Hahn’s arrival on the show is sure to bring even more excitement to the series.
