iX workshop: Legally compliant - testing and certifying IT products according to EU law

As a result of the Cyber Security Act, new regulatory requirements have been established at the EU level. These requirements are prompting more and more manufacturers to focus on the security testing and certification of their software and hardware. If you’re a manufacturer operating in Germany and the European market, it’s crucial to understand the rules and regulations that apply to you.

Fortunately, an online workshop called Checking and Certifying IT Products for Security is available to help you navigate this complex landscape. Over two mornings, you’ll learn about the most common procedures for security testing and certification. Some of the topics covered include the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC), the accelerated security check (BSZ) of the Federal Office for Information Security, and tests according to IEC 62443-4-2 (Industrial Security).

One of the most important aspects of the workshop is learning which methods are used for testing and how to implement the necessary protective measures in your IT products. Sebastian Fritsch, the head of secuvera’s BSI Common Criteria (CC) test center, will lead the online training. Sebastian has over ten years of experience as an evaluator, auditor, and consultant.

The online training will take place on May 10th and 11th, starting at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until 12:30 p.m. each day. This workshop offers plenty of opportunity for your own questions and exchange. If you’re interested in signing up, you can find more information and booking details on the homepage. By participating in Checking and Certifying IT Products for Security, you can gain the knowledge and skills you need to navigate the complex landscape of security testing and certification regulations.
