Where to Watch 2nd Division Games on Free TV and Live Stream
The 2nd Bundesliga season from July 15, 2022, to May 28, 2023, will consist of 34 match days. Relegation matches are scheduled for early June 2023. Fans can watch their second division club on different channels and streaming services. Here are the details.
Broadcasters of 2nd Division 22/23
Das Erste, ZDF, and Sport1 will broadcast second division matches on TV. Sat. 1 will broadcast one game for game days 1, 17, and 18 free of charge. Sky will show all games for a fee up to 2024, and DAZN will broadcast game streams on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon or evening for a fee. Summaries of the games will be available for free on DAZN, ARD sports show, and the current sports studio of the ZDF.
New Kick-Off Times of the 2nd Bundesliga 22/23
The first game of the first day starts at 8:30 p.m. while matches of the 34th day start at 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays. All games in the 2nd division will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The evening game will continue to take place at 8:30 p.m. The dates for Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League games and occasional kick-off times for the Nations League and Supercup games can be found on the 2022/23 2nd division schedule.

What You Should Know About the 2nd League
The 2nd Bundesliga was founded in 1974 to close the economic gap between professional and amateur football. Since the 2008/09 season, the format of the 2nd division has not changed, and a season is played with 18 teams on 34 match days. Promotion and relegation are possible for two clubs and a possible relegation winner. The game with the most goals in the 2nd division was played in 1997 on matchday 34 by 1. FC Kaiserslautern against SV Meppen, which ended in 7:6.
