Uefa President Ceferin Predicts Rule Changes Following Fan Exclusion in Naples

After fan exclusion in Naples: Uefa boss Ceferin: the rules will change!

UEFA Reacts to Fan Exclusion in Naples

UEFA has finally taken action against the fan exclusion in Naples, but unfortunately, it’s too late. UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin, spoke out about the issue in a recent interview with ZDF. He stated that it’s not possible for Italian authorities to deny German fans entry and that their decision is completely wrong.

BILD, a German newspaper, warned Eintracht Frankfurt (Frankfurt) fans of Naples’ “crazy kick-off trick.” However, it’s not something that UEFA can immediately solve. Ceferin mentioned that for future events, the loophole that the Naples Prefecture used with its orders against Eintracht fans, should be closed in the statutes under the rules. He also emphasized the need for change, saying, “We urgently need to do something about it. We will change the rules.”

Despite the fan bans from Naples, many Frankfurt fans are still travelling to the city, with the first batch having already arrived. They are not certain if they will be able to attend the game at the stadium, but Eintracht captain Sebastian Rode hopes to find a separate location for fans to celebrate together.

Overall, there are strict rules in place to ensure fan safety and the smooth running of games. It’s positive that UEFA is acknowledging the issue and plans to take action to prevent it from happening again in the future.
