Professional dancer and ex-Olympic gymnast Philipp Boy and his dance partner, Patricija Ionel, have been wowing audiences and judges alike with their performances on the popular German TV show Let’s Dance. But now, Patricija is making waves all on her own thanks to her appearance on the cover of the latest issue of Playboy. The Lithuanian dancer’s photos for the popular men’s magazine were taken on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura and feature her in revealing and sexy poses.
Boy is supportive of his dance partner’s decision to pose for Playboy, saying, “If a woman is self-determined and feels comfortable, she should be able to take such photos. Of course I would give ten points for that.” Patricija even showed Boy the photos during their rehearsals for Let’s Dance, and the dance partners seem to be more motivated than ever to continue their success on the show.
Boy and Patricija have formed a close bond as dance partners, and their relationship on and off the dancefloor has been a highlight of the show so far. “Until now we have a beautiful storyline on ‘Let’s Dance’. First we got to know each other romantically over the Viennese waltz, then we got married over the jive and had an argument with the rumba,” Boy explains, laughing.
The hard work that goes into preparing for each week’s dance has been a challenge for both dancers, but they continue to shine on the show. “The training workload and everything that goes with it is sporty. But it’s incredibly fun. Especially with Patricija, who picks me up when I want to throw my dancing shoes away,” Boy says. Patricija agrees, adding, “I motivate him to continue training. As a trainer, I have already experienced that on the one hand he learns, but we still have a lot of fun together. We are a very good team there.”
With Patricija’s new Playboy cover and their continued success on Let’s Dance, Boy and Patricija are sure to make headlines for some time to come.
