Tim Mälzer Gets Critical on Kitchen Impossible

Tim Mälzer: Motz attack on "Kitchen Impossible"

Tim Mälzer, the TV chef with the big mouth, is known for his back challenges on “Kitchen Impossible” (Vox) that always come with a white-hot guarantee. However, Mälzer surprised viewers by voluntarily stirring the dough for the first time in the start of the eighth season. His challengers, the father-son team Walter and Sascha Stemberg, chose a challenging task for the TV chef by sending him to the Badner Land to cook a queen’s pie, which is a type of puff pastry with a light ragout filling.

Puff pastry, which consists of over 100 individual layers, is one of the supreme disciplines of dough. To make the task more manageable, the Sternbergs provided Mälzer with a ready-made puff pastry. However, this didn’t sit well with Mälzer, who felt that his colleagues didn’t trust him to make his own pastry.

Mälzer grumbled that he was bored and disappointed with how little his colleagues trusted him in the kitchen. He even announced that he would like to make the pastry himself, but he hates baking tasks.

The next morning, Mälzer got a muffled noise when he entered the kitchen as he had never made puff pastry before. However, much to everyone’s surprise, Mälzer created an excellent dough, and the guests crowned him king of the season opener with his queen pie. He won the challenge 13.4 to 12.0 against the Sternbergs.

Overall, Mälzer’s baking success showcased his culinary talent, and he proved that he was capable of handling anything thrown his way.
