This American couple spends millions of euros to have the wedding of the century in Paris

The images of the wedding of Madelaine Brockway and Jacob LaGrone have been circulating on TikTok and Instagram in recent days. These two young Americans have indeed celebrated their union in style. The festivities lasted five days and potentially cost more than 59 million dollars (54 million euros), according to HuffPost. The couple privatized several prestigious venues in the Paris region before saying “I do” on November 18. Let’s take a look back at these luxurious celebrations.

Three iconic locations

First, the guests were welcomed with a welcome dinner at the Palais Garnier, the Paris Opera. The venue, privatized for the occasion, was transformed for the future bride and groom, with grand staircases adorned with colorful flowers and cellists in tulle dresses present at the entrance. The next day, the couple visited the Palace of Versailles (Yvelines), which they also privatized to host a second dinner and spend the night.

The celebrations continued with a brunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower followed by an evening on a barge on the Seine. The two lovers also enjoyed a lunch and a suite at the Chanel couture house, where guests could create their own branded bags, according to RTL Info.

A private show by Adam Levine

The marriage ceremony took place at the Chateau de Villette in Condécourt (Val-d’Oise), which was also extensively decorated for the occasion with a rustic theme. The bride walked down the aisle alongside her father in a Dior dress embroidered with lilies of the valley. For their first dance, the couple enjoyed a private performance by Adam Levine of Maroon 5, and the spectacle continued into the night with a light show using drones that wrote the couple’s initials in the sky.

Organized by the luxury wedding planner Lake Como, these ceremonies, dubbed the “wedding of the century” by internet users, were reportedly financed by the parents of the 26-year-old bride. They are reportedly wealthy business leaders linked to the German brand Mercedes Benz, as reported by CNews.
