Traffic professor: "The wheel stands for an almost perfect thing"

Marco te Brömmelstroet, a professor at the University of Amsterdam, is an advocate for rethinking mobility and slowing down. He is known as the “Fietsprofessor” or cycling professor and has co-founded a laboratory for new approaches to mobility. Te Brömmelstroet believes that cycling has a high symbolic value and sees it as a puristic and efficient mode of transportation. He mentions that other notable figures, such as philosopher Ivan Illich and anthropologist Luis Vivanco, have also recognized the benefits of cycling.
