In an attempt to organize her succession at the helm of the “Changer Paris” group, the Minister of Culture is seeking to embody the unity of the Parisian right. Some see it as a power move.

Just two days before the next general assembly, and while Catherine Dumas and Jean-Pierre Lecoq were both candidates for the presidency of the opposition group in the capital, “Changer Paris”, Rachida Dati sent a message to the municipal councilors that Le Figaro was able to consult.

The new Minister of Culture, who, upon joining the Attal government, had to leave the head of “Changer Paris”, began by thanking the members “in these somewhat agitated times that we have just been through”. She then reminded of a “common goal”: “winning Paris in 2026”. Warning against possible “divisions” and “internal quarrels”, while insisting on the necessary “unity” of the Parisian right, Rachida Dati considers the candidacies of the senator and the mayor of the 6th arrondissement to be “legitimate”.
