The Pavilion of Marie Curie’s Springs in Paris Granted a Reprieve

A dramatic turn of events in the Latin Quarter! The Pavillon des Sources will not be demolished as planned on January 8th. Three days before the bulldozers were set to move in, Minister of Culture Rima Abdul-Malak reached an agreement with Thierry Philip, the head of the Institut Curie, to suspend the demolition. The minister wants to “take the time to examine, with all stakeholders and [her] colleague @sretailleau [Minister of Higher Education and Research] any possible alternatives.” This was announced on her X account on Friday, January 5th, at midday.
