Sylvie Meis: The Transformation of a Public Celebrity

Sylvie Meis has been a public celebrity for over 20 years, and during this time she has achieved a lot. She has changed visually, not just in a natural way, as she admits. In the early 2000s, Meis was in the spotlight in Germany for the first time, as a woman at the side of the then HSV professional Rafael van der Vaart. Since then, the 44-year-old has achieved a lot. She is independent, open about her love life, and makes no secret of the small beauty procedures she has undergone.

Meis believes that beauty means feeling good and radiating self-confidence. “For me, looking natural is important,” she explained to “image” in 2022. However, she also admits to having help. “I use hyaluron filler on my face. On the cheekbones, lips, jawlines (chin and jaw).” Meis revealed: “Once or twice a year I look at what I still need to optimize. I’m getting older too, and I don’t look like I did three or four years ago.” She even experimented with a lip filler, but stated that she plans to age gracefully.

Meis has been in front of TV cameras for 20 years, 15 of them in German formats. She had her breakthrough as a juror on “Das Supertalent,” moderated the RTL format “Let’s Dance” with Daniel Hartwich until 2017, and now hosts the dome format “Love Island.” Meis is also a businesswoman and creates her own lingerie, swimwear, and shoe collections. She is usually the face of her advertising campaigns and has 1.4 million followers on Instagram.

Despite her confidence today, Meis has experienced difficult times. In June 2009, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The tumor was surgically removed, and she underwent chemotherapy. “When I lost my hair, for the first time in my life I felt like my confidence and security had been taken away from me,” she recently told spot on news. Sylvie Meis is now cancer-free and is committed to helping others struggling with cancer through her work with the organization DKMS Life.

Sylvie Meis has come a long way since her early days in the spotlight in Germany. She has shown strength and resilience throughout her career and personal life, and continues to inspire others through her work and personal achievements.
