The national teams of Russia are still banned from official competitions in Europe and the rest of the world, but Russia retains its place in UEFA. It will even send a delegation to the next congress of the continental football body, scheduled for February 8 in Paris. The president of the Russian Football Federation (RFU), Alexander Dyukov (pictured above), explained to the TASS agency that the decision has been made and apparently accepted. “The RFU will participate in the UEFA Congress in February,” the Russian leader assured. “We have already approved the list of participants for our delegation.” Unless there is a surprise, the RFU is also expected to be represented at the next annual FIFA Congress. It is scheduled for May 17, 2024 in Bangkok, and will be the first in history to be organized in Southeast Asia.
