President Peter Fischer Takes on Eintracht’s Hardened Fronts

The supervisory board at Eintracht Frankfurt has been experiencing conflict between the board’s spokesperson, Axel Hellmann and the board’s boss, Philip Holzer, since the planned September 2022 equity increase at the club. Additionally, Hellmann has been in talks with DFL on the possibility of becoming their new league boss.

Eintracht’s separation from coach, Glasner, raised questions about his performance. In a bid to prevent Hellmann from leaving Eintracht and heading to DFL, Holzer offered to resign at a crisis summit that both he and Hellmann attended.

Following the summit, an extraordinary supervisory board meeting was called, where Holzer presented his conversation with Hellmann, but it proved to be unsuccessful. However, the committee has issued a statement. According to the committee, Eintracht aims to continue on its path of success, and any differences and opinions should be resolved internally.

The supervisory board has expressed confidence in Holzer and emphasized his services, especially during the corona pandemic. The board has also affirmed its desire to keep Hellmann as a board spokesperson while approving his appointment as interim managing director of the DFL until June 30, 2023.

The statement puts pressure on Hellmann, and everyone is eagerly awaiting his response after his talks with the DFL. The aim is for Eintracht to have a success-oriented, collaborative future, in the spirit of the club.
