Peacock Prowl: A Corporate Outing with Guns Blazing

"The Peacock": Company outing with a shotgun

Lutz Heineking Jr. is the brilliant mind behind comical hits such as “Other Parents” and “KBV” and has now released a new feature film, the crime comedy. The movie boasts a stellar cast, including Lavinia Wilson, Tom Schilling, Jürgen Vogel and David Kross.

The story centers around Boss Linda and her employees, who have taken up residence in a Scottish mansion for what was supposed to be team building. However, rather than working together, they are more focused on stirring up petty conflicts among themselves. Suddenly, a death occurs, as the owner’s beloved bird is found shot. The question is, by whom and why?

The standout performers of the movie are Tom Schilling and Lavinia Wilson, who play the roles of narcissistic troublemakers. Despite their brilliant wit, their characters ultimately produce nothing but hot air. The overall plot of the movie is also quite weak, save for the humorous moments involving the cook from Cologne, played by Annette Frier.

Overall, the movie falls short of its potential despite the great ensemble cast and various clever directing ideas. The fault lies with the thin script, which ultimately results in a mediocre offering. The film has a runtime of 105 minutes and is rated for viewers aged 12 and above.
