Paris: Twelve Monoprix Stores Selling a Range of 1970s Items for Ten Days

Monoprix brings us back into the pop universe of the seventies through a reissue of cult objects from the Prisunic catalogs and new pieces inspired by the seventies. This collection is being sold from Friday, December 8th until December 17th in a dozen stores in Paris, as well as in a vibrant pop-up store in the heart of the Marais.

After the success of the retrospective at the Museum of Decorative Arts in 2021, in celebration of the 90 years of Prisunic acquired by Monoprix in 1997, this new event, launched just before Christmas, is promising. Cécile Coquelet, director of creation and partnerships at Monoprix, explains, “We still had treasures in our archives to discover. We delved back into the catalogs of the time to select pieces that we had reissued in limited series. All are numbered. We also created new pieces in the same vein, such as scarves.”

In this pop-up store in the Marais, on rue de Turenne (IIIe), reissued cult objects from Prisunic, vintage articles, and new items are on display and for sale until December 17th.

To continue the legacy and continue to “democratize design,” Monoprix is selling these 42 reissues signed by design greats and the Prisunic design studio, as well as its new creations, at affordable prices. Among the flagship pieces that can be purchased are dessert plates in the sunny colors of Jean-Pierre Garrault (8 euros), as well as his yellow, green, and orange salt and pepper shakers (7 euros each) to brighten up our tables.

Nostalgic shoppers will also be drawn to the Prisunic apron and cart. And everyone will fall for the very pretty lamp (180 euros) by Odile Mir reissued by her granddaughter Léonie Alma Masson, in collaboration with Lomm éditions, a Tissinier rug (270 euros), or this iconic ceramic stool available in three versions (110 euros).

These items are on sale starting from Friday, December 8th until December 17th in a dozen Parisian stores of the brand, the list of which can be found on the Monoprix.fr website, as well as at the temporary pop-up store located at 116 rue de Turenne (IIIe).
