Paris: Theft of 50 Balmain couture pieces after a car-jacking

Olivier Rousteing, the couturier of Balmain, had a rough start to his Sunday when he realized that 50 pieces from his upcoming collection, which were supposed to be presented at the upcoming Fashion Week in late September, were stolen between the airport and the fashion house’s headquarters in Paris. The driver fell victim to a car-jacking incident. Rousteing expressed his disappointment and frustration on Instagram, stating that the stolen delivery had been diverted and that the truck had been stolen. He thankfully confirmed that the driver was safe.

Rousteing emphasized the hard work that went into creating the collection and the disrespectfulness of the theft. He vowed to redo everything and work even harder, along with his team and suppliers. He described the situation as unfair and expressed his determination to overcome it.
