Paris: Historian Takes Legal Action Against Facebook for Censorship After Account Blocked for Three Years

The woman who identifies herself as a “professor at the Lebanese University, historian, political scientist, Islamic scholar, and author of numerous books” had her account deactivated after a post in December 2019 about “ISIS in Algeria and its ambitions in Europe, at the bottom of which an ISIS statement was published,” the reporting judge summarizes.

“For three years, Meta [the group that owns Facebook] did not acknowledge or explain the closure,” regrets lawyer Camille Alligand, on behalf of her client who was absent from the hearing.
