Paris: 21-Year-Old Man Falls onto RER C Tracks and Dies from Impact

On Friday, November 3, 2023, in the evening, a 21-year-old man died after being hit by the RER C at the Musée d’Orsay station in Paris, according to information from Le Parisien confirmed by a source close to the case. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the station in the 7th arrondissement. According to surveillance videos, the young man had a fainting spell and fell onto the tracks just as the train was arriving at the station. He was hit by the train and dragged for several meters.

According to Le Parisien, the RER driver was questioned and stated that he couldn’t do anything to prevent the accident. A alcohol test conducted on the driver came back negative.
