Paquita La Del Barrio’s Palenques Farewell Over Health Concerns

Paquita La Del Barrio Announces Retirement from Palenques Due to Health Issues

Paquita la del Barrio, the interpreter of hits like “Rata de Dos Patas”, celebrated her 76th birthday at the Palenque de la Feria but also announced that this would be her last presentation in the Palenques due to her delicate state of health.

The production team brought her a cake to celebrate her birthday and say goodbye to the palenques, where she sang for the first time almost 40 years ago with songs like “Me salutes a la tuya” and “Tres veces te engañé”.

Although she will not completely retire from the stage, she will now look for more welcoming places to perform.

“I don’t like working like that, but that’s life,” said the singer in the final stretch of the concert, as Paquita was sitting in an armchair the whole time.

At the end of her presentation, the singer expressed her gratitude towards the audience and commented that all the applause she received was something that she would cherish for the rest of her life.

“I’ll take their applause, they will go with me to the grave,” she said.
