On March 19, 2023, millions of viewers will tune in to ARD’s “Polizeiruf 110” instead of the usual crime scene. The episode, titled “Ronny,” will follow the investigation of a missing 10-year-old boy.
The story begins when Ronny is reported missing after a birthday party. Chief inspector Doreen Brasch and detective Uwe Lemp begin the search, with Ronny’s mother Sabine and her boyfriend René as the main suspects.
Sabine has been trying to regain custody of Ronny, but the youth welfare office doubts her stability. René and Ronny have a tumultuous relationship, and a fight broke out on the day of the disappearance. Ronny had planned to meet his supervisor Matthias Precht for fishing, but Matthias’s lies during his first questioning raise suspicions.
Complicating matters is the cold weather, making the search for Ronny even more urgent. Will the investigators find him in time? Is Ronny still alive?
