New Comedy-Horror Renfield Set to be Released Next Year – Starring Nicolas Cage
The new comedy-horror film Renfield, directed by Chris McKay and starring Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult, is set to hit theaters next April. In the film, Cage plays Count Dracula while Hoult portrays his loyal lackey, Renfield. Fed up with his master’s treatment, Renfield decides to take matters into his own hands and try to end Dracula’s life.
During the filming of Renfield, Cage accidentally drank his own blood while wearing real, sharp fangs. “No reason in terms of method, but the fangs were genuine fangs, they were ceramic and quite sharp. So I bit my lip several times, which made me drink my own blood,” the actor revealed during a Reddit Ask-Me-Anything campaign.
The rest of the cast includes Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Bess Rous, and Ahmed Zakzouk. Renfield is set to release in Spain on April 14, 2023.
