In Paris on Saturday night, a motorist pretended to be a police officer, complete with a blue flashing light and a gun, causing chaos in the streets before being apprehended.
The motorist, who was pretending to be a police officer, wreaked havoc on the streets of Paris on Saturday night. He had almost the entire police uniform, or at least looked like he did, with a blue flashing light and a gun. The first incident of the evening occurred in the north of Paris, around 7:30 p.m., near a disabled parking space. According to Le Parisien, the fake police officer prevented a disabled driver from parking. He threatened him and even lifted up his shirt to show that he was armed. In response, the other driver remained calm and asked to see his national police card.
The fake police officer then fled the scene and began patrolling the streets of Paris. For example, around 10 p.m., he turned on his flashing light as if he were on an urgent mission. However, his reckless driving caught the attention of a BAC (Anti-Crime Brigade) unit, who realized that he was not a colleague and started chasing him. The suspect then collided with a stationary car, injuring a VTC (private chauffeur) driver inside.
After abandoning his car to escape on foot, the fake police officer was quickly caught and apprehended. The police found the alarm gun he had used to threaten the disabled driver in his vehicle. The fake police officer spent the rest of the weekend in custody for refusing to comply, threatening with a weapon, and impersonating a police officer. All of this happened in the presence of real police officers.
