Calparsoro said that they did extensive research work for the film, and a lot of the material was left out when it came time to write the script. With the series, they can develop the characters and include the ones they had to leave out in the feature film.
The clear protagonist is Asia Ortega, who is joined by Álvaro Rico (‘Elite’), one of the new additions. Notably, the main character of the original movie was Ángel (Miguel Herrán). Luis Tosar also repeats his role as an antagonist.
