Mid-Lent in Paris: A Respected Tradition in an Explosive Atmosphere

On Sunday, March 10th, the second edition of the Mid-Lent carnival saw the participation of 17 carnival groups parading through the streets of Paris. The procession, from the Place de la République to the Porte de Pantin, was noted for its explosive atmosphere.

The Mid-Lent Carnival parade, on Sunday, March 10th through the streets of Paris, celebrated Antillean culture in the capital. The Federation of the Tropical Carnival of Paris and the Île-de-France region has seen a growing interest in this event. Teddy Lacroix, its president, was pleased to see the arrival of 5 additional groups.

A total of 17 carnival groups took part in the second edition of the Mid-Lent Carnival in the streets of Paris, starting from the Place de la République to the Porte de Pantin.

The strong presence of overseas students in the different groups shows their clear desire to have fun, celebrate, and continue the cultural tradition far from their home countries.
