Levallois Paris-Saint Cloud Triumphs in Budapest in CEV Cup

Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud’s Mariannes have negotiated their trip to Budapest very well by finishing third in the French Championship. They triumphed 3-1 on the parquet of the Hungarian team Vasas in the CEV Cup, the second European club competition.

Despite a rocky start, Alessandro Orefice’s players managed to win the second and third sets with more control, making the difference in the middle of the set to resist the Hungarian team. The fourth set was very close and the Francilliennes held their ground for a victory (14-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-20). This point is important as the Mariannes only need to win “only” two sets next week to secure their place in the semifinals.
