Making Jobticket Possible: Germany Subscription for 34.30 Euros

Germany subscription for 34.30 euros – Jobticket should make it possible

The German government has introduced a new job ticket regulation that aims to encourage people to use public transport. The job ticket subscription costs €34.30 per month for employees, and employers must subsidize at least 25% of the cost. The Germany ticket, which allows unlimited travel on local and regional transport in the country, will cost €49 per month from May 1st, and will be available as a job ticket. The Federal Council approved the financing law for the Deutschlandticket last Friday.

The Association of German Transport Companies (VDV) sees the new regulation as an important opportunity to acquire new customers. The VDV estimates that there are only a few million job tickets in Germany, but aims to double or triple the number with the help of the new regulation. Interested companies can find information about the new job ticket easily on the transport company’s website.

The German Federation of Trade Unions and Pro Bahn passenger association have welcomed the new job ticket regulation, but have suggested further measures to make public transport more attractive to commuters. These measures include investing in infrastructure, improving the quality of the offer, and making it less attractive to drive to work by charging for parking spaces. The DGB recommends a permanent job ticket discount of 5% for companies that subsidize the cost by at least 25%.
