Legally Compliant IT Product Testing and Certification with iX Workshop and EU Law

iX workshop: Legally compliant - testing and certifying IT products according to EU law

The new Cyber Security Act at the EU level has caused a surge in manufacturers wanting to ensure their software and hardware is secure. However, many are unsure of the regulations they need to abide by within Germany and the European market. To address this issue, an online workshop is being held over two mornings to educate participants on the common procedures in this area.

The session will cover various testing methods, including the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC), the accelerated security check (BSZ) of the Federal Office for Information Security, and the security framework NESAS (Network Equipment Security Assurance Scheme). Additionally, it will also cover tests according to IEC 62443-4-2 (Industrial security).

The workshop will be held on May 10th and 11th and is open to anyone with an up-to-date browser. The course is led by Sebastian Fritsch, head of the BSI Common Criteria (CC) test center of secuvera, who has been working as an evaluator, auditor, and consultant in this field for more than 10 years.

Attendees will learn the necessary methods to ensure their software and hardware are secure, and how to implement the required protective measures in their IT products. The workshop also provides ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions and exchange information.

Those who book their workshop ticket by April 11th can save 10 percent off the cost. For more information and to book your spot, visit the workshop’s website.
