Lars Stindl: The Ultimate Werder Bremen Specialist for Borussia Mönchengladbach!

Borussia Mönchengladbach: Lars Stindl is THE Werder expert!

Gladbach Faces Werder Bremen in Bundesliga Clash

On Friday at 8:30 p.m., Gladbach will take on Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga at Borussia Park. Coach Daniel Farke is optimistic but acknowledges the quality of the opposition. Werder Bremen has played a very good season so far, despite being a promoted team. The Bremen team is known for their stable basic order, intensive runs, opposing movements and are dangerous in the penalty area with their attack duo.

To win against such a team, Gladbach must play their game at home to get them on their side. They want to take control of the game, set the tone and keep the three points at Borussia Park. At present, Borussia Park is sold out, and there are no more tickets available.

The balance sheet favors Gladbach slightly. They have won 41 of the 105 Bundesliga duels to date and lost 39 times. After 11 consecutive Bundesliga games without a defeat against Bremen, Gladbach got it bad in the first leg of this season with a 1:5 loss.

History may suggest that Gladbach has a good chance of winning. They are unbeaten in the last ten home games against Werder, with seven wins and three draws. Also, they have celebrated more home wins than any other club in their Bundesliga history against Bremen, winning 31 of the 52 games.

The game promises to be exciting, with 35 penalties and 16 dismissals imposed in Gladbach’s Bundesliga games against Werder – in each case, the highest number in games involving Borussia. Lars Stindl scored more goals against no other club in his Bundesliga career than against Werder, with eight goals and ten assists.

Some players are keen to continue their impressive record against Werder. Alassane Plea lost none of his five Bundesliga games against Bremen, with three wins, two draws, and three goals. Florian Neuhaus even won none of his six games, with four wins, two draws, and two goals.

On the other hand, a player from Werder, Leonard Bittencourt, has not had a good record against Gladbach, losing all five Bundesliga away games in Gladbach.

The referee for the game will be Tobias Reichel, with assistance from Benedikt Kempkes and Christian Bandurski on the line. The fourth official will be Alexander Sather, and Marco Fritz will be working as a video assistant. Michael Born will provide commentaries, with ex-professional Benny Lauth as an expert. Tobi Wahnschaffe will moderate the game.
