Kidnapped and Tortured in Paris over a 10,000 Euro Debt, Found with a Severed Finger

The scene and the events are worthy of a horror movie. According to our information, a man was abducted in Paris on Tuesday before being transported to Val-d’Oise where he was held captive, tortured, and mutilated by four individuals, possibly due to a money debt. The investigation has been entrusted to the investigators of the 1st district of the judicial police (DPJ). So far, the Pontoise prosecutor’s office has not responded to our requests.

The incident began on Tuesday afternoon in the heart of the capital. The victim was in the Châtelet-les-Halles area (1st arrondissement) when four men allegedly forced him into their vehicle. They then headed north of Paris. At the end of the journey, the criminals stopped in Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val-d’Oise) at an abandoned building where they were preparing to subject their hostage to the worst torments.

Burns on the arms and legs, cuts on the hands, numerous wounds on the head… And to top it off: a severed finger. According to a police source, a debt of 10,000 euros, incurred in a fake driver’s license trafficking case, could be the cause of the dispute between the victim and the criminals. The perpetrators also reportedly contacted the victim’s relatives to demand a ransom. In vain.

It was late afternoon when they finally released their victim after taking his credit card, keys, phone, and identification documents. They left him half-naked near the Garges-lès-Gonesse train station. Around 7:30 pm, he was taken to the police station near the Gare du Nord (10th arrondissement). He was then transferred by the emergency medical service to the Saint-Antoine Hospital (12th arrondissement) without his life being in danger.
