Jogi Löw Seeks New Opportunity with a Top-Tier National Team

Jogi Löw: Former national coach is looking for a job with this world-class nation

Joachim Löw’s quest for a new coaching role continues after his departure from the German national team following their defeat in the round of 16 against England at Euro 2021. The former coach, who succeeded Jurgen Klinsmann in 2006, had a 15-year reign and won the World Cup title in 2014 with the DFB team.

As reported in BILD and SPORT BILD, Löw has his sights set on the coaching role in Brazil, a nation he inflicted the legendary 7-1 victory over during the 2014 World Cup semi-finals. Brazil has been waiting for its next world championship title since 2002, and Löw is among the top candidates for the coaching position.

The current coach of the Brazil national team, Tité, held the position until the Qatar World Cup but his tenure ended after Brazil lost to Croatia in the quarter-finals. Since then, several candidates including Carlo Ancelotti, formerly of FC Bayern Munich and now with Real Madrid, have been named but none have signed.

Ramon Menezes, ex-Bundesliga professional who played for Bayer Leverkusen in 1995-96, is temporarily coaching Brazil for the upcoming international match against Morocco. Löw may take up the coaching role in Brazil following this game.

Löw’s failure to lead Germany beyond the round of 16 at Euro 2021 put an end to his career as national coach, but his experience of winning the World Cup and his tactical acumen make him a desirable candidate. Brazil has a strong football culture and the pressure to succeed is immense, but Löw is no stranger to the challenges of managing a national team.

If Löw is successful in securing the coaching role in Brazil, he will have to implement his strategies to bring success to a nation that has been waiting for it since 2002. All eyes are now on Brazil and Löw to see if they can bring the success that both parties crave.
