Photos give hope for a Lightning Comeback!

Excitement is building as Jamal Musiala, the shooting star of the record champions, is back on the training ground after tearing a muscle fiber in his left thigh during the 2-1 draw against Leverkusen. The injury was a shock to the club as Musiala had just come on as a substitute and had only recently experienced muscular problems, which was why he didn’t start. But seven days before the Bundesliga summit against BVB, there is renewed hope as Musiala did a 20-minute running session with rehabilitative coach Thomas Wilhelmi!

In addition to normal jogging, the first sprints diagonally across the training ground were already possible. Even though the national player mainly did easy jogging laps on Friday, Musiala is looking at the heart rate monitor whilst doing so. This is an indication that he is working closely with the rehab coach for a safe and speedy recovery. The leader senses that the offensive jewel could still be fit for the summit meeting.

Similar to the case of Kylian Mbappé, the star player that left Bayern with a scare in the Champions League, doubts are already rising amongst fans and the media on Musiala’s prognosis. However, Dortmund’s leading team is taking no chances as they prepare for Saturday’s summit meeting. Bayern is known for its top players, and as soon as Musiala gets back on the pitch, they might just have one more reason to dominate the field.

Is a return to the squad possible for Musiala on Saturday? BILD had already reported on Wednesday that BVB did not really trust the pessimistic Musiala forecast, and they might just be right. One thing is for certain, there is definitely hope for a lightning comeback!
