Italy’s Professional Soccer Player Flashes Red Card for Public Urination

Soccer: Italy professional sees red for peeing

Former Juventus player Cristian Bunino received a unique red card during a recent Serie C match in Italy. The striker was sent off shortly after his substitution in the game between Piacenza and Calcio Lecco, not because of a brutal foul, but for relieving himself right next to the pitch.

Although the spectators and the referees initially did not notice anything, the linesman caught sight of the act and informed the referee, who had to act according to the rulebook and sent Bunino off the field.

Lecco coach Luciano Foschi accepted his striker’s punishment but expressed his hope that referees would also use common sense in these types of situations. Foschi stated, “It’s the rules, and they have to be followed, but I was hoping that referees would use common sense because he didn’t offend anyone, and nobody saw it.”

Bunino has played 34 games in the U23 team of Juventus Turin, scoring nine goals for the youth team of the “Old Lady.” However, he has not yet made it to the pros and has been moving from one lower-league club to the next through several loan deals. He is currently on loan to Lecco but is still under contract with FC Pro Vercelli 1892 until 2024.

Thus, in conclusion, Bunino saw the strangest red card of the season for an unexpected act that left everyone in surprise.
