Incredible News Drops at Paris SG: €103M

It is clearly one of the big satisfactions of PSG’s early season: Warren Zaïre-Emery. At only 17 years old, the young midfielder for the French U21 team has earned his place as a starter in Luis Enrique’s lineup, and the Montreuil native seems to have become one of the Paris SG fans’ favorites, alongside Kylian Mbappé.

While Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Qatar have once again splurged this summer for PSG in the transfer window, with signings such as Randal Kolo Muani, Lucas Hernandez, Ousmane Dembélé, Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Gonçalo Ramos, and Bradley Barcola, another star was ultimately “rejected” by Luis Campos at Paris Saint-Germain!

Initially interested in his profile, PSG quickly dropped out of the race for Jude Bellingham, when the young English international midfielder was still playing for Borussia Dortmund… before his transfer to Real Madrid for an estimated €103 million. The reason? Warren Zaïre-Emery, plain and simple.

While Jude Bellingham’s profile was highly appreciated by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and the Qatar Emir, Luis Campos wanted to offer a prominent starting role to Warren Zaïre-Emery, whom he already considered as “a talent of the same caliber as Bellingham,” as stated by our colleagues at Le Parisien. One of the future world-class players in his position… And let’s not lie, QSI’s Portuguese sports advisor seems to have made the right call.
