I can’t wait, it’s my city! Wembanyama confirms Spurs’ visit to Paris in 2025.

Victor Wembanyama, the French prodigy, expressed his excitement about coming to Paris next year to play at least one game with the Spurs.

During a press conference, Victor Wembanyama and his coach at the San Antonio Spurs, Gregg Popovich, announced that the Spurs would play at least one game in Paris next season.

After the Spurs’ victory against the Brooklyn Nets, Gregg Popovich was asked about the significance of their first win in Austin, where they played some “home” games outside of their usual Frost Bank Center.

Popovich jokingly said, “I don’t care where we win, it could be Timbuktu,” before later confirming that they will indeed play in Paris.

In the last two seasons, the NBA has hosted games in the French capital, such as a match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Brooklyn Nets. Although the league has not officially announced the plans, the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama are expected to play in Paris next season. Wembanyama, a 20-year-old French player, expressed his excitement about playing in his hometown and seeing his family during the season.
