The popular game show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” is known for its challenging questions that force contestants to think on their feet. During one episode, a biology student nearly went beyond the scope of the show with her painstakingly slow responses.
At the 500 euro hurdle, the candidate was asked which item many drummers have with their drum kit. Options included a hamster wheel, cow bell, dog leash, and cat flap. Despite her tendency to use the cat flap, the candidate at least considered an alternative with the cowbell.
However, the nail-biter continued at 2000 euros, with the contestant struggling to answer a question pertaining to the time change. She had difficulty recalling when exactly the clock goes forward one hour.
After exhausting all other lifelines, the student called her mother, but neither of them knew the answer. Eventually, after several agonizing minutes, the contestant guessed A and got it right – although the process took so long that the host, Günther Jauch, became restless in his chair.
At the next question, the student finally threw in the towel and took home 2,000 euros. Jauch let out a sigh of relief once the tense episode was over.
Although nerve-wracking, this particular episode proved that “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” continues to challenge its contestants with some difficult questions.
