Grab Death Stranding for Free Now on Epic Games Store: Latest Kojima Game Giveaway

"Death Stranding" free: Kojima game is being given away on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games is once again offering a top-quality video game for free. Until May 25, 2023 at 5 p.m., “Death Stranding” by Kojima Productions can be linked to the Epic account for free. Once activated, the game can be downloaded and played at any time. The free version in the Epic Games Store is the standard edition of “Death Stranding” on the PC, which typically costs 24 euros.

An update to the improved “Director’s Cut” edition can be purchased separately for a currently discounted 5 euros. A direct price comparison with “Death Stranding” on Steam is difficult because the standard edition of the game is no longer available there. Steam only offers the Director’s Cut for 40 euros.

The Director’s Cut of “Death Stranding” was originally developed by Hideo Kojima and Co. for the Playstation 5 as an upgrade to the PS4 version. In March 2022, this version also reached the PC. It includes new weapons, equipment, and vehicles. New game modes and additional missions are part of the package, and the user interface has been adjusted.

“Death Stranding” is being given away for free at Epic Games for the second time. Previously, however, the game was only available free of charge for two days – at the end of 2022, in the middle of the Christmas season. If you missed the previous free offer, you still have a few days to grab it.

The story of “Death Stranding” doesn’t end with the first video game. A sequel is currently in the works, which will again be produced by Kojima Productions. Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux will reprise their roles, and other actors such as Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Troy Baker will also be part of the cast. The story apparently ties into Part 1 and seems to question its events critically. A film adaptation of “Death Stranding” is also in the works.

Meanwhile, competitor Steam has a first-person shooter for free: The “Metro Last Light: Complete Edition” is being given away there for its tenth anniversary.
